Cucumber & Jalapeno Tequila Sour
Any chance we get to push the boundaries of flavour combinations we will take it. The question is, are you brave enough to give it a go?
This drink is smooth but fierce. Cool but hot. Elegant but powerful. It’s a contradiction in a glass.
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of enjoying a ‘sour’ before then you’ll know just how delicate the finish can be. We’ve taken all the good parts of a classic sour and then flipped it on its head by adding in that element of heat through the dried jalapeno chilli.
If you’re looking for a cocktail that gets your guests talking, this is the one.
Ingredients
50ml Reposado Tequila
Egg White
12.5ml Cucumber Syrup
1 Whole Lime
Tip of dried chilli
Fresh Cucumber
Cocktail topper
Dried chilli with brown peg
Method
Start by throwing in some chopped cucumber and your chilli into the bottom of your shaker, up to a quarter of the fruit and then muddle.
Follow by measuring in all the liquid ingredients including the egg white and lime juice (fresh is best). Shake hard without ice, this is called a dry shake.
Break the seal, add ice and repeat the shake. This is what we call the wet shake!
Double fine strain into a coupe or martini glass to achieve a silky smooth finish.
Garnish with an edible cocktail topper and the rest of your chilli pegged onto the side of the glass.

Passionfruit Margarita
Another delightful tequila cocktail. A variation of a classic Margarita, using our old friend Tommy’s style. We like a Tommy’s Style margarita because of the bold flavours it encourages.
We find that this drink is a great entry level cocktail for someone enjoying tequila that perhaps has had bad experiences with the notorious spirit in the past. Passion fruit is a very friendly and familiar flavour in the cocktail scene, famously found in the Porn Star Martini. So think of this as a Pornstar Margarita…I guess? BUT, way way better.
Ingredients
50ml Reposado Tequila
25ml Passionfruit Syrup
1 Whole Lime
25ml Triple Sec
Half Passion Fruit
Saline Solution
Salt
Tajini
Dried Raspberry
Method
Start with garnish, rim half of the glass with raspberry dust and the other half the glass with tajin. Garnish preparation. On a chopping board, mix together a small pile of salt with crushed raspberry.
Prepare a small pile of tajin and use each of these concoctions to rim the entire glass.
Add all wet ingredients including the fresh passionfruit and shake with ice.
Shake hard to combine the flavours.
Dirty pour into a tumbler for the best taste, Tommy’s style. Garnish with a half or quarter passionfruit (optional).

Pomegranate Margarita
At Team Boozy, we are big fans of tequila and particularly it’s versatility.
Some of our favourite signature cocktail creations feature this beautiful agave spirit. This Pomegranate Margarita is no exception, it’s a classic example of how well tequila combines with with unique flavours.
We serve this particular Margarita in what we call a Tommy’s style. This is a traditional method dating back to 1980’s. The dirty pour helps increase the impact of the agave flavour and allows you to experience the drink differently to perhaps a double strained margarita would taste. The original recipe used Persian Limes, the recipe became so popular that the venue became a mecca for bartenders and mixologists around the world.
Ingredients
50ml Reposado Tequila
25ml Pomegranate Syrup
1 Whole Lime
12.5ml Triple Sec
Salt
Method
Firstly, rim your glass with salt. Why not try salt rimming half of the glass and compare? Add all wet ingredients and shake with ice.
Shake hard to combine the flavours.
Dirty pour into a tumbler for the best taste or double strain into a coupe with no ice for a more delicate finish.
Garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel. Fresh pomegranate seeds also work as a great garnish and fresh burst of freshness.

Cammy’s Margarita
Our head mixologist Cammy’s favorite margarita recipe.

Work your lime around the work surface you’re using. Using both hands and your body weight, roll it around to release all of the natural juices. Squeeze the lime by hand, getting every last drop released.
Fill the shaker with ice.
Shake extremely hard, ensuring the agave is fully incorporated.
Serve into a whisky glass, tumbler or any favourite vessel.
Pour directly into the glass dirty style (no straining and including all of the ice that we used to shake).
Garnish with a dried lime wheel.

Blind Tiger
When you’re sipping this cocktail, we want you to imagine that you’re sitting deep inside the Indian jungle. Surrounded by exotic birds, lime trees and of course tigers!!!
This drink has a unique consistency due to the shake method, you’ll notice the amount of foam that forms on top. The flavour that this foam holds is incredible. The aroma of the kaffir lime leaves and cardamom pods is very distinguishable.
Cameron has a long friend living in India and he helped piece this drink together.

Grapefruit Margarita
If you haven’t noticed already, we are HUGE tequila fans at Boozy.
We love constantly experimenting with different flavours and serving styles. This is one of our Tequila Blanco recipes and is also served straight up on no ice. This is the perfect drink to sip at the bar whilst looking like a very distinguished gentleman/women. Serving with no ice allows you to experience all of those flavours on a more intense level…hence the suggestion to sip only.

Then, throw all of your ingredients including a full squeezed lime, into your shaker.
Add a generous amount of ice and shake extremely hard.
Break your seal and double strain into your coupe glass.
