As a business, Boozy Events are always looking for opportunities to be as sustainable as possible. We already dehydrate our surplus oranges and limes to use as cocktail garnishes, but we wanted to take our recycling one step further. We decided to begin sending our surplus lemons to All About Lemons, who turn them into delicious lemon fudge. Then, we buy this back at and include it in our cocktail packages for free!

All About Lemons is an Aberdeen-based business devoted to making fresh, artisan food produce and gifts – all with a lemon theme. Their fresh lemon fudge makes a lovely treat – which is exactly why we include it in our cocktail packages. All About Lemons also sell delightful lemon chocolate, lemon curd, lemon marmalade and so many more lemon goodies.  

Waste has a colossal negative impact on our natural environment, which is why recycling is so important and why we want to reduce our waste at Boozy Events. It is estimated that, globally, we waste more than 30% of the food produced. In fact, we could feed over a billion hungry people with less than a quarter of the food wasted in the UK, the United States, and Europe.

Now, we know that recycling our surplus lemons is not the answer to all the problems – but it’s a start. We have the opportunity to recycle what we don’t need and give our lemons a new life! Plus, we get to support a wonderful local business and provide our customers with great sweet treats!
